Position Overview

StretchLab is on the lookout for a skilled sales expert to take on the role of Lead Membership Specialist, responsible for managing the sales process and enhancing member retention strategies.


ROLE SUMMARY

The ideal Lead Membership Specialist will be in charge of membership sales at our studio. This individual will collaborate closely with the Area Manager, Lead Flexologist, and Ownership to ensure minimal member turnover and sustained growth in membership sales. The Lead Membership Specialist will also play a key role in retaining existing members. A background in fitness is advantageous.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generate leads through community partnerships, which includes organizing, staffing, and executing marketing initiatives such as health fairs, grand openings, marathons, golf tournaments, and collaborations with local businesses and healthcare facilities to promote the studio.
  • Develop and enhance the membership sales process to schedule potential members for introductory sessions and convert them into paying members.
  • Work in tandem with the management team, Membership Coordinators, and Flexologists to implement effective sales strategies.
  • Maintain proficiency in the studio's CRM system to manage contacts, ensure client health information confidentiality, and process financial transactions according to established protocols.
  • Warmly welcome members and visitors upon arrival and assist them during their visit.
  • Ensure the studio is clean and organized daily, adhering to all safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Schedule appointments for clients, prospects, and visitors using the CRM system.
  • Represent StretchLab and its affiliates in a professional manner, showcasing enthusiasm and positive energy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in membership sales within a fitness or wellness setting.
  • Proven ability to generate personal sales and surpass collective goals, including net memberships and reducing attrition rates.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Trustworthy, committed to adhering to company policies, maintaining defined procedures, and safeguarding confidential information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and the public.
  • Proficient in computer systems and studio software, with a goal of mastering these tools.
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills across various channels; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Strong writing and grammar skills with attention to detail are essential.
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, reliability, and neatness are required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • This role offers a competitive base salary, commensurate with experience and performance, along with eligibility for bonuses based on shared metrics.
  • Commission is available on first-month membership sales and sales from the studio boutique.
  • Monthly complimentary stretching sessions, subject to Flexologists' availability.

  • Health insurance is available for those working 30 hours per week or more, on average.

Job Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt; Full-Time or Part-Time.

Pay: Competitive, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Bonus-eligible.

Paid Time Off: Includes sick leave, vacation, and bereavement leave.

Experience: Membership Sales: 2 years (Required). Fitness Industry: 1 year (Preferred).

Work Location: Studio environment with limited remote work options, as approved by management.

Supervisor: Area Manager.
