The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial hygiene, with experience in managing industrial hygiene programs, conducting exposure readings, and interpreting results. They will also have excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare and submit reports and health risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Industrial Hygiene Program Management: Oversee and manage the organization's industrial hygiene program to ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Exposure Readings and Sampling: Conduct exposure readings, follow sampling protocols, and interpret results to identify health risks associated with the workplace.
- Confined Space Entry Program Management: Manage, support, and maintain the organization's confined space entry program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit reports and health risk assessments, clearly identifying findings, health risks, and recommended control measures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and local health and safety laws.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certifications: 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience as an Industrial Hygienist in a medical/hospital environment, with experience meeting OSHA, Veterans Administration, and JCAHO Health and Safety Program requirements.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, regulatory requirements, and reporting skills.
