Position Summary:

The Lead Specialist in Air Quality Assessment and Testing engages in advanced technical activities associated with ambient air quality monitoring, odor evaluation, source testing, data acquisition, documentation, and reporting for various clients. This position also plays a vital role in supporting Air Quality Permitting and Compliance initiatives, evaluating technical and regulatory matters, and facilitating communication within the organization and with clients.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in air quality assessment or related disciplines, preferably in a consultancy role with leadership responsibilities;
  • Proficiency with diverse monitoring instruments, pollutant measurement devices, and data management platforms;
  • Understanding of electronic control systems for data acquisition and analysis;
  • Acquainted with federal and local regulations pertaining to data integrity and compliance;
  • Expertise in engine compliance evaluations and emissions assessments;
  • Capability to produce technical documentation with clarity;
  • Experience in ambient air quality assessments;
  • Aspiration to advance in the environmental consulting sector;
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new technical challenges;
  • Skilled in the upkeep of air monitoring apparatus.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Experience in air quality monitoring and regulatory adherence;
  • Preferably a Qualified Source Test Individual (QSTI) or equivalent certification;
  • Strong comprehension of air quality and environmental regulations;
  • Exceptional communication abilities;
  • Experience in project management;
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications;
  • Ability to work autonomously and conduct site visits;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
