Position Summary: We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Hospital Manager in our dynamic, multi-doctor veterinary facility. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and maintaining high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive demeanor in all interactions with clients, pets, and team members.
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Manager to fulfill staffing requirements, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Utilize hospital management systems to accurately document medical records and facilitate communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Oversee daily timekeeping and scheduling tasks, ensuring accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Reconcile end-of-day financial reports and manage daily deposits.
  • Exhibit empathy towards clients and ensure pets are treated with compassion and respect.
  • Address and resolve employee conflicts and behavioral issues effectively.
  • Manage the financial operations of the hospital, ensuring accurate transaction handling and adherence to cash management protocols.
  • Strive to meet and exceed business objectives and performance goals.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven experience in leading a diverse team and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Prior experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Veterinary experience is highly desirable.
