Job Description

Project Manager/Senior Project Manager

Blach Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to lead our construction projects in Southern California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams including Project Engineers, Project Assistants/Coordinators, and other team members.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Job planning, job set up, project close out, obtain permits, review and understand plans and specifications, assemble and issue prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Run weekly job meetings, including timely follow-up and distribution of minutes.
  • Work with the Superintendent to address issues, problem-solve, review the schedule, and job cost forecast.
  • Regularly review job status, logs, and job cost analysis using reports and information from CMiC.
  • Work on all aspects of Preconstruction and Business Development with the Preconstruction, Business Development, and Marketing teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in CM, engineering, or architecture with seven or more years of similar experience with a Southern California general contractor.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work at a detail level and think strategically while managing customer relationships.
  • Solid computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and proficient use of scheduling software (P6) and project management software (CMiC or similar program).
  • Willingness to live and work in the Orange County or Greater Los Angeles area.
