Job Title: Superintendent/Sr. SuperintendentJob Summary

This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of job planning, scheduling, safety, and quality control. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review plans and specifications, coordinate between design disciplines
  • Develop, track, and maintain job schedules and labor requirements
  • Review estimates and subcontractor scopes
  • Identify long lead items and special safety requirements
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, verify permit requirements, and follow up on inspections
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the schedule, work with Safety Managers on all safety aspects
  • Maintain excellent relationships with owners, architects, agencies, subcontractors, and Blach employees
  • Monitor labor and materials costs on a weekly basis, review subcontractor billings with the PM for verification
  • Review the schedule and overall job progress on a monthly basis for cost analysis, including Blach materials
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of construction experience, including successfully managing large, complex projects
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train and educate others, solid computer skills, especially the Microsoft Office suite, scheduling software (MS Project, P6, or Suretrak), and exposure to project management software (CMiC or similar program)
