This project's initial product is currently under development, with plans for ongoing expansion and integration of new capabilities to meet evolving US Navy requirements. The project leverages advanced technologies as the foundation for its development methodology, enabling software developers to create components that deliver essential functionality for both individual components and the overall system.

Your Role: C2P Modernization Specialist

As a C2P Modernization Specialist, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of naval command and control. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical tasks, including:

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth investigations into emerging technologies, encompassing open-source software, vendor products, academic research, industry advancements, and existing government software and systems.
  • Software Integration and Support: Install, integrate, and configure software applications and hardware components. Troubleshoot workstation hardware and software issues to ensure seamless operation.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, integration, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Industry Trend Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on industry trends, encompassing software and systems methodologies, security systems, and future technological advancements.
  • Software Testing: Conduct rigorous software testing using both manual and automated methods to ensure the quality and reliability of the C2P system.
  • Best Practices Documentation: Assist in reviewing and documenting engineering best practices to promote consistency and excellence within the development team.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong academic foundation in computer science or a related field. A rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline is ideal.
