A Day in the Life of an HR Coordinator

The HR Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the development of our hiring process and company initiatives. This hands-on, interactive position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports Regional Human Resources Business Partner and Divisional HR Manager in company and/or HR initiatives
  • Assists in researching and communicating human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
  • Maintains detailed records and spreadsheets of candidate and employee activity
  • Conducts pre-employment checks, including skills testing and drug & background screenings
  • Coordinates interviews with hiring managers and other leadership
  • Delivers candidate status updates to the Human Resources team and other parties as needed
  • Assists with facilitation and training of the workforce
  • Responds to employee inquiries and escalates as needed
  • Performs ad-hoc reporting for the Human Resources department and other departments as requested
  • Maintains confidentiality and participates in Company's continuous improvement programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience in a Human Resources department or general office environment
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software, Google Docs, and/or PC programs
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and interface with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective verbal and written communication skills
