Position Overview:
The Agribusiness Department at California Polytechnic State University is in search of a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor. This role is designed for an individual who is eager to contribute to the education of future leaders in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, which may include:
1. Agricultural Policy
2. Advanced Agricultural Policy
3. Agricultural Economics (Basic and Intermediate)
4. Statistics and Data Analytics
5. Quantitative Management Methods
6. Agribusiness Management
7. Human Resource Management

Collaboration with other departments within the college and across the university is highly encouraged. Additional duties may involve:
- Supervising undergraduate senior projects
- Advising student clubs and competition teams
- Engaging in scholarly activities such as research, grant writing, and publications
- Participating in service on departmental, college, and university committees

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an earned doctorate in Agricultural Economics, Resource Economics, Economics, Business Administration, Management, or a closely related field. Candidates who are nearing completion of their doctorate may be considered, provided they can demonstrate that their degree will be conferred prior to the start of the appointment.

- Fluency in Spanish

About the Department:
The Agribusiness Department is home to approximately 600 undergraduate majors and offers a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness. The curriculum emphasizes experiential learning and industry interaction, preparing students for successful careers in the agricultural sector.
