About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SMB Account Executive to join our team at Semrush. As an SMB Account Executive, you will be responsible for creating, preserving, and growing relationships within a designated book of business through prospecting, sales calls, and rapport-building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building: Create and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their business needs and providing additional Semrush Solutions to optimize growth.
  • Sales and Cross-Sell/Up-Sell: Identify and close cross-sell/up-sell opportunities using the Semrush suite of products.
  • Value-Based Selling: Deliver a value-based selling experience to our customers based on automation and customer behavior.
  • Customer Retention: Work with a Customer Success Manager (CSM) to ensure high customer retention within your book of business.
  • Meet Targets: Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly activities to reach targets (KPIs, such as number of calls, connections, demos, emails, etc.).
  • Product Knowledge: Work with a Product Specialist to introduce your book of business to and sell Semrush's newest product offerings.
  • Customer Outreach: Efficiently reach out to 100% of your customer portfolio on a monthly basis.
  • Forecasting: Accurately forecast monthly sales and retention achievement to management.
  • Feedback and Contribution: Contribute feedback to the larger Semrush organization by utilizing strong analytical thinking, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience in sales or business development role.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate and present verbally and in writing.
  • Technical Skills: Technically savvy and adaptable in a constantly changing environment. Ability to quickly master new technology.
  • Knowledge of the Internet and Social Media: Knowledge of the internet and social media.
  • Independent Thinking and Self-Responsibility: A high degree of independent thinking and self-responsibility.
  • Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Self-motivated, outgoing, and able to meet monthly deadlines and achieve results. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Business Software: Knowledge of Excel/Word/Google Docs/Gmail/Salesforce or CRM.
