About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems to optimize production processes and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the production team to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Use Autocad and other design tools to create detailed designs and specifications for control systems.
  • Develop and implement PLC programs using Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
  • Work with the new product design team to ensure that control systems are integrated into new products from the initial design stages.
  • Oversee the installation, calibration, and testing of control systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and equipment.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on the use of control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in control systems and incorporate them into our processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Design, PLC, Allen Bradley, Siemens, New Product Design, and Machine Design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different departments.
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in control systems and incorporate them into our processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
