Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal Controls: Develop and enforce robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial data integrity, implementing and monitoring controls to manage financial risks.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and excellence, while promoting a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to aid strategic decision-making, pinpoint areas for improvement, and enhance financial performance, interpreting data and presenting insights to senior management.
  • Audit Management: Manage and coordinate external audits, preparing audit schedules and addressing auditor inquiries, ensuring audit readiness and resolving findings as needed.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize accounting processes for greater efficiency, identifying opportunities for automation and the integration of advanced accounting software solutions.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Act as a liaison between finance/accounting and other departments, delivering financial information and analysis to support cross-functional projects and communicating results to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of experience in accounting, with 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Personal Qualities: High level of integrity and ethical conduct, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
