Sales Associate

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and meeting sales and work goals.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Create a positive shopping experience for customers by being aware of and adhering to company service standards.
- Sales and Assistance: Provide sales and assistance to customers, promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives, and maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
- Merchandise Presentation: Maintain merchandise presentation by ensuring stock is well arranged and merchandised properly, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Loss Prevention: Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members, and participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor when needed.
- Cash Handling: Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, and maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation.
As a Sales Associate, you will work closely with customers, sales associates, store management, and district/regional managers to achieve sales and work goals.
Requirements- Interpersonal Skills: Possess interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and with all levels of employees.
- Communication Skills: Possess basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
- Experience: Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear, is preferred.
- Knowledge: Possess basic knowledge of the policies and procedures, and basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of the Store Presentation Standards.
