About the Role

The Life Enrichment Assistant/Driver is a vital member of our team at Hearthstone Senior Living. This role is responsible for assisting with activities in the community and driving residents to medical appointments and outings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive residents to appointments and outings, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Perform trip inspections on assigned vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Prepare vehicles for transport by coordinating logistics, including daily drive schedules, pick-up and drop-off locations, and appointment times.
  • Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring they are properly secured.
  • Use standard GPS to map routes and destinations.
  • Properly park vehicles and assist with preventative and scheduled maintenance.
  • Welcome new residents and assist with their transition to our community.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of activities and special events.
  • Monitor residents' overall well-being and report any changes to the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 25 years old.
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to drive residents in various vehicles, including a 14-passenger bus, van, and town car.
  • Previous Senior Living experience preferred, but we will train the right person.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Must be able to lift/push up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.
  • Must possess sight/hearing, or use prosthetics, that are adequate to meet the requirements of this position.
