About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Hearthstone Senior Living. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering prescribed medication and treatments in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medication and treatments to residents, maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to Oregon State Regulations for safe medication administration.
  • Manage the storage of medications, transcribe physician orders, and make phone calls to physician offices and pharmacies for clarification.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical or behavioral conditions, taking and recording vital signs as directed.
  • Prepare charts for new residents, maintain cleanliness and order in the Medication Room and Chart Room, and report needs for health care supplies.
  • Act as the point-person in charge, responding to fire alarms and working collaboratively with the Health Services team.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Previous experience in a Med Tech role
  • Minimum age 18
  • Excellent leadership skills, computer skills, and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
Working Conditions
