JOB OVERVIEW:

The Gas Supply Analyst position at ENSTAR Natural Gas Company, LLC, is essential for managing the organization's gas supply activities, overseeing procurement processes, and evaluating future gas needs and expenditures. This role is vital in supporting negotiation strategies, operational workflows, and fostering robust industry partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and oversee systems for tracking gas demand and supply market trends.
  • Assist in the utilization of gas forecasting tools and systems for optimal gas supply management.
  • Contribute to the formulation of both long-term and short-term gas supply strategies.
  • Manage gas supply and storage agreements.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the gas market and regulatory changes.
  • Provide training and assistance to internal teams regarding gas forecasting and procurement.
  • Encourage communication with various stakeholders to cultivate strong relationships.
  • Monitor compliance of transportation customers with regulatory standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience focusing on forecasting and modeling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and open to learning new technologies.
  • Familiarity with the natural gas supply market and industry practices.
  • Possession of a valid Alaska Driver's License and capability to operate a vehicle in accordance with company policy.
  • Ability to successfully complete various screenings, including background checks, credit checks, and drug tests.
