ENSTAR Natural Gas Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Natural Gas Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of natural gas to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Gas Supply Management: Coordinate and control the flow of natural gas throughout our pipeline and distribution systems, maintaining pressures and flows within established limits.
- Dispatch and Operations: Respond to calls from power generating stations, transport customers, and ENSTAR personnel, preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
- SCADA System Management: Monitor and interface with our SCADA system, inputting updated values and maintaining after-hours security.
- Gas Balancing and Reporting: Prepare daily and monthly gas nominations and balancing reports based on contracts, spot purchases, and exchange agreements.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and requests, utilizing computer and written records to research information.
- Education and Experience: Two- or four-year technical degree or education, with two years' gas/pipeline/utility industry or related experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience operating and configuring PC-based systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, with high proficiency in Excel. SCADA or refinery work background preferred.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work various shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with demonstrated experience working independently or with minimal supervision.
- Pipeline Operations Experience: Practical knowledge of pipeline operations, with ability to be detail-oriented and organized.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the public, customers, utilities, emergency responders, and other departments/personnel.
