POSITION SUMMARY:
The Gas Supply Analyst position at ENSTAR Natural Gas Company, LLC is pivotal in managing the organization’s gas supply functions. This role encompasses the oversight of procurement processes and the analysis of prospective gas needs and associated costs. The analyst is essential in bolstering negotiation strategies, refining operational workflows, and fostering robust industry partnerships.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Establish and oversee systems for tracking gas demand and market supply.
- Assist in the utilization of gas forecasting tools and platforms for optimal supply management.
- Contribute to the formulation of both long-term and short-term gas supply strategies.
- Manage contracts related to gas supply and storage.
- Stay informed on developments in the gas market and relevant regulatory changes.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams regarding gas forecasting and procurement practices.
- Enhance communication with various stakeholders to cultivate strong relationships.
- Monitor compliance of transportation customers with industry regulations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of five years of pertinent experience focusing on forecasting and modeling is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
- Understanding of the natural gas supply market and its operational dynamics.
- Possession of a valid Alaska Driver's License and capability to operate a vehicle in accordance with company policy.
- Ability to successfully complete various screenings, including background checks, credit assessments, and drug testing.
