About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Blair, Church & Flynn. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the life cycle of our projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to our high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Analyze plans, survey reports, maps, and other data related to project design, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Consider regulations, site selection, and other factors relevant to a project, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Prepare cost estimates to determine a project's economic feasibility, providing recommendations for optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with other professionals, such as architects, contractors, and surveyors, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide progress reports to clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of engineering practices and standards, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering projects, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient in engineering design software, with experience in project management tools and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
