Job Summary

The County of Sacramento California is seeking a highly skilled Associate Civil Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for a variety of civil engineering work in connection with the design, surveying, and testing of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation systems, and public facilities.
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Test and evaluate materials to ensure their suitability for use in construction projects.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to develop and implement engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a local government or public agency setting.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
