Position Overview
The Associate Civil Engineer plays a crucial role in various civil engineering tasks related to the planning, surveying, and evaluation of materials for public infrastructure projects. As a foundational position within the civil engineering field, this role necessitates the registration as a civil engineer. Under supervision, the Associate Civil Engineer engages in complex engineering assignments and may oversee a small team of engineers or technical staff. This position may involve serving as the project engineer for significant projects or managing multiple smaller initiatives.

Employment Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Current registration as a civil engineer with the relevant state board is required.
General Qualifications:
A valid driver's license is necessary prior to appointment. Candidates with disabilities may be evaluated on an individual basis.
Certification Requirements:
Depending on the position, obtaining specific certifications within a designated timeframe may be necessary.
Experience:

The probationary period for this classification is twelve months.
