Position Overview

Welcome to Beverly Hills Gymnastics Center: We are a premier destination for gymnastics, dedicated to fostering a love for the sport in children of all ages. Our mission is to provide comprehensive gymnastics instruction, including classes, camps, and training opportunities.

Objective: The primary goal of this role is to deliver engaging and effective instruction to young participants in our recreational gymnastics program, aligning with the values and mission of our center.

Reporting Structure:
Reports to: Program Director
Supervises: Participants and facilitates communication with parents and guardians.

Key Responsibilities:
The Recreational Coach will lead programs tailored for girls, catering to ages ranging from toddlers to teenagers. This includes classes for various skill levels, from introductory to intermediate gymnastics.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Designing and implementing innovative gymnastics programs and services.
  • Creating detailed lesson plans in collaboration with the head instructor.
  • Participating in relevant meetings to enhance program quality.
  • Integrating character education into all lessons to promote personal development.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records for all classes.
  • Ensuring the safety and maintenance of gymnastics equipment.
  • Completing incident reports as necessary.
  • Assisting in the training and orientation of new staff members.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to engage with children aged 2 to 12, demonstrating a solid understanding of gymnastics principles and progressions.

  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with participants and their families.
  • Creative thinking in developing programming and instructional methods.
  • Team-oriented mindset with sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with technology to enhance program delivery.

Experience and Education:
A high school diploma is preferred; however, enthusiastic high school students with significant gymnastics experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience working with children in recreational or instructional environments is beneficial.
  • USAG Certification is preferred, with a willingness to obtain certification within one year of employment.

Compensation: $30 per hour
