Qualifications:

  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain US government security clearance.
  • Strong technical consulting experience with the ability to comprehend business needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills; ability to conceive and present innovative solutions.
  • Possession of one or more relevant industry certifications (GSEC, CISSP, Security +, SSCP).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for job-related duties.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, engineering, or a security-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of core information security principles (e.g., access control, least privilege, data integrity) and security capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of network design principles, including topology, protocols, network components, and virtualized infrastructures.
  • Practical experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk or ArcSight.
  • Demonstrated experience in security operations, including Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, security monitoring, incident response, host/network forensics, penetration testing, cyber threat intelligence, malware analysis, or security consulting.
  • Ability to identify adversarial behavior beyond standard enterprise tools and alerts.
  • In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP network stack, network technologies, and traffic analysis protocols.
  • Familiarity with common web vulnerabilities, including XSS, SQL Injection, and Authentication Flaws.
  • Understanding of web application frameworks and web-based APIs.
  • Basic knowledge of regular expressions and common scripting languages (PERL, Python, Powershell, Bash).
  • Familiarity with the threat intelligence lifecycle and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Understanding of OWASP common vulnerabilities and testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in drafting processes and procedures for security operations.
  • Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and fulfill commitments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $45 to $60, depending on various factors including experience and client requirements. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, and commuter benefits.
