Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Switchgear Specialist to join our team at Vertiv. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service, and troubleshooting of E+I Engineering 480VAC/15KVAC electrical switchgear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service, and troubleshooting of E+I Engineering 480VAC/15KVAC electrical switchgear
  • Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate
  • Evaluate the operating conditions of equipment
  • Interact comfortably with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Manage one's own schedule and perform general and preventive maintenance on switchgear
  • Respond to emergency calls at customer's request and strive to provide all customers a 'first time fix' for their equipment
  • Provide accurate and timely communication to internal and external customers and monitor and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of time cards, expense reports, etc.
Working Conditions
  • Travel is required, with individual assignments typically 3 to 5 weeks in duration
  • Working schedules are typically 10-12 hours per day, 5-6 days per week, day, or night shift
  • This is a hands-on field, travel-type position with up to 80% travel, which could be national/international depending on site locations
  • Flexible schedules (weekends, evenings, and holidays)
