Position Overview
The Biomedical Technician II (BMET II) plays a crucial role in the healthcare ecosystem by installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of sophisticated biomedical devices with minimal oversight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Services (40%)
    Conduct performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operational verification procedures on complex biomedical equipment.
  • Execute repairs, installations, and calibrations on intricate biomedical devices.
  • Communicate repair statuses, scheduled inspections, and customer concerns to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Maintain and enhance biomedical expertise through continuous education and training.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by service operations.

Regulatory Compliance (25%)
Ensure the accuracy of the equipment database, including inventory, performance assurance schedules, and service history. Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan and all relevant regulatory standards.

  • Guarantee timely and accurate service documentation.

Account Relationship Management (25%)
Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, discussing equipment functionality with clinical staff and representing TriMedx's core values in all interactions.

  • Ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

Inventory Management (10%)
Conduct regular inspections of inventory status and verify security analyses for new equipment.

  • Perform incoming inspections to maintain an accurate inventory of medical devices.
  • Provide recommendations regarding inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent military experience, or two years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Certification (CBET) is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering setting.
  • A valid driver's license is required, with travel based on business needs.

Core Competencies
Strong computer skills, including system administration and error code interpretation, along with excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities. Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills are essential.
