Key Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Specialist II is tasked with examining and thoroughly assessing web and mobile applications. This position involves scrutinizing project and development specifications to ensure that all criteria are met across various web browsers and devices, including mobile and tablet platforms. This vital role will provide insights on product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for numerous clients, encompassing both pre-launch and post-launch evaluations of aspects such as functionality, design, and compliance with accessibility standards.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and identifying bugs and usability challenges
  • Monitoring content, layout, usability, accessibility, and functionality across multiple platforms
  • Reviewing and interpreting product and development specifications to confirm clarity during testing
  • Documenting issues with reproducible steps and logging all bugs in a tracking system
  • Updating management on the status of problem resolutions
  • Providing regular updates on testing outcomes and identified bugs
  • Proposing enhancements to existing procedures and developing testing documentation models
  • Creating user manuals and technical documentation
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices in testing processes and advocating for quality in production
  • Executing daily testing activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in context-driven testing or equivalent educational background
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required (preferably in Information Technology, management, or marketing) or equivalent experience

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Familiarity with Web Accessibility standards
  • Understanding of Context Driven Testing principles
  • Knowledge of various testing methodologies, processes, and tools
  • Experience in modeling, test design, and exploratory testing
  • Experience in test automation and related strategies
  • Creative and strategic approach to learning and implementing testing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage oneself and handle multiple priorities
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Comfortable conveying testing concepts to a diverse audience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Jira
  • Familiarity with Rapid Software Testing (RST) is a significant advantage
