Position Summary:
The Biomedical Technician II (BMET II) plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment by ensuring the functionality and safety of complex biomedical equipment. This position requires minimal supervision while performing essential tasks such as installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance verification of sophisticated medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Service (40%):
    Conduct performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, and electrical safety inspections on intricate biomedical equipment. Responsible for repairs, installations, and calibrations while keeping supervisors informed about repair statuses and customer concerns.
  • Regulatory Compliance (25%):
    Maintain the accuracy of the equipment database, ensuring compliance with the Medical Equipment Management Plan and all relevant regulatory standards. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all services performed.
  • Account Relationship Management (25%):
    Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers, discussing equipment functionality with clinical staff and representing TriMedx services positively.
  • Inventory Management (10%):
    Conduct periodic inspections of inventory, verify security analyses for new equipment, and maintain an accurate inventory of medical devices.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent military experience, or two years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Certification (CBET) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering setting.
  • A valid driver's license is required, with travel requirements based on business needs.

Skills:
Proficiency in complex computer systems, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
