Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in Swedesboro, New Jersey. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the normal operation of systems and equipment in our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supervisors and hourly mechanics in achieving preventative maintenance goals and ensuring production equipment uptime.
  • Review downtime and resolve by updating or modifying the preventative maintenance plan or predictive solutions.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, including food production equipment, freezers, ovens, and coolers.
  • Develop and direct internal mechanical, electrical, and instrument shift maintenance activities, instrument calibration & repair activities, and spare parts management.
  • Evaluate, define, develop, and implement procedures and equipment changes for maintenance effectiveness measurement, predictive maintenance programs, EHS compliance, or building and other codes compliance.
  • Monitor and improve employee efficiency and productivity, conduct staff meetings, performance evaluations, and provide leadership for subordinate supervisors and employees.
  • Develop close working relationships with production and quality management, and coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products with the production team.
  • Ensure knowledge of and adherence to plant policies and government regulatory agencies (FDA/USDA) requirements, promote established safety programs, and ensure safe operating procedures and monitor employee compliance.
  • Ensure compliance to GMP's, SOP's, and company policies, and ensure plant facility and equipment are maintained according to standards.
  • Member of HACCP team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3 years management experience within a maintenance department, ideally in a food processing plant.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills (systems, CMMS, AutoCAD & MS Office).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
  • Proven track record of leadership development amongst a team and a personality that seeks to achieve goals and a lead by example approach from the floor/on a machine.
  • Proven ability to develop KPIs, planning functions, concrete examples of policy creation and personnel development required.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills in a high-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented team player with strong people skills.
  • Bilingual a plus.
