We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
- Assist the surgical team with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer.
- Coordinate with the anesthesiologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate required at hire.
- Knowledge of sterile core area and operating room procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Two to five years of scrubbing experience in all surgical procedures in an inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting.
- Ability to rotate through sterile core area and perform tasks such as cleaning and reprocessing instruments, stocking supplies, and picking case carts.
