In this position, you will play a crucial role in communicating the Wohlsen narrative to our existing audience while also reaching out to potential new clients.

Your expertise will be instrumental in engaging our Team, the Community, and the broader industry creatively. You will provide essential support to our Proposal/Business Development Team and the wider Wohlsen organization.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and manage corporate materials and collateral to create visually compelling graphic content.
  • Contribute to the strategy and production of corporate presentations (e.g., annual meetings, training sessions), incorporating a variety of graphics, photography, and video elements.
  • Create external communication materials, including advertisements (both generic and tailored), brochures, handouts, signage, and stationery.
  • Provide graphic design and photography assistance for regional industry awards.
  • Support internal branding and promotional initiatives, including the design/layout of newsletters, digital displays, office/project signage, and recruitment materials.
  • Research industry trends and target market information.
  • Collect competitive intelligence on past, present, and future markets, along with relevant corporate experiences.
  • Monitor various online and print media sources, including newspapers, business journals, social media, and industry publications.
  • Draft and distribute press releases and thought leadership articles.
  • Ensure adherence to copyright regulations and photography usage rights.
  • Organize special events and oversee video/photography for these occasions.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with vendors, coordinating work for marketing initiatives.
  • Keep track of company registrations, professional licenses, and industry/community involvement by Team Members.
  • Manage libraries of digital marketing assets.
  • Coordinate and prepare submissions for industry awards.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in industry trade shows.
Relationships
  • Reports directly to the VP of Innovation.
  • Collaborates with the Content Marketing Specialist.
  • Works alongside HR to communicate our employer brand.
  • Engages with Team Members to convey our brand message.
  • Regularly interacts with industry publications and trade organizations.
  • Partners with vendors to execute marketing projects.
Authority
  • Final approval of social media posts.
  • Final approval of corporate marketing outputs.
  • Authority to purchase items up to $250 within budget.
  • Recommendations for partnerships, advertisements, sponsorships, and events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in technical sales and marketing support, with a strong understanding of marketing, business development, and branding, preferably in the A/E/C sector.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Planner, Teams), Canva, and other creative software.
  • Exceptional writing, verbal communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in graphic design and page layout, as well as content creation.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of making independent decisions and working autonomously.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, balancing immediate deadlines with long-term objectives.
  • Active participation in professional associations and community service.
Physical Requirements
This role typically involves minimal standing or walking. The employee is expected to sit for extended periods (7+ hours) and may need to drive for 1-4 hours. The ability to lift or carry up to 10 lbs is required, with occasional handling of small items. The position may involve bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and working at heights above 6 feet on occasion.
