We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Oncology Nurse Manager to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, holding staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to standards of care, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
  • Manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.
  • Ensure staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs.
  • Manage nursing practice and unit operations, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • At least 1+ year of experience in healthcare, with a focus on surgical oncology.
