Geisinger Community Medical Center is on the lookout for an Advanced Practice Provider to become part of our expanding team.
We take pride in equipping our Hospital Medicine professionals with the innovative resources and support necessary to excel in delivering outstanding patient care.
Position Details:
Work Schedule:
Days, with a rotation of 7 days on and 7 days off (7am - 7pm)
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts initial evaluations and triage of patients based on relevant information regarding their presenting conditions.
- Monitors significant procedure and laboratory outcomes, collaborates with physicians, and communicates results and plans to patients and their families.
- Facilitates appropriate follow-up care for patients.
- Handles inquiries and returns calls from established patients and their families, assessing their needs.
- Collaborates with physicians to discuss care plans and relays information to patients and families.
- Assists in obtaining preauthorization for medications, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
- Conducts patient screenings.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Required)
Certifications and Licenses:
Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Skills:
Knowledge of Care Management, Clinical Policies and Standards, Health Information Documentation, Patient Assessment and Care, Patient Safety, and Patient Rights.
