Position Summary
As an Advanced Practice Provider specializing in Trauma Care, you will play a vital role in a dynamic and intricate healthcare setting. This position offers the chance to engage in various clinical environments, including the clinic, operating room, and surgical intensive care unit, where you will provide exceptional care to patients and support our surgical team.
Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Monday to Friday) & 10-hour shifts (Saturday to Sunday)
Team Composition:
Collaborate with a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, Phlebotomists, and Radiology Technicians available throughout operational hours.
Facility Features:
- 7 examination rooms
- Electronic Health Record System: Epic
- Specialized Equipment: Telemedicine carts, negative pressure rooms, continuous vital sign monitoring
Diagnostic Capabilities:
X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI
Patient Admissions:
Patients may be directly admitted to the hospital from this clinic if necessary.
Clinical Services Offered:
Our clinic provides a range of diagnostic and treatment services, including but not limited to:
- Nebulizer therapy
- Intravenous diuresis and hydration
- Management of electrolyte imbalances
- Intravenous antibiotic therapy for infections
- Antihistamine treatment for allergic reactions
- Rate control for atrial fibrillation
- Management of blood sugar levels
- Administration of antihypertensives
- Treatment for migraines
Role Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a physician, you will:
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Assist in gathering essential data for implementing the physician's therapeutic plan.
- Serve as a patient advocate, providing support and acting as a liaison between patients and physicians.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Required)
Certifications and Licenses
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Certified Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
