Job Summary:
Position Overview:
As an Advanced Practice Provider in our Trauma Care team, you will engage in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing essential support in the clinic, operating room, and trauma intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Monday to Friday) and 10-hour shifts (Saturday to Sunday)
- Collaborative Team: Work alongside Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, Phlebotomists, and Radiology Technicians
- Facility Features: 7 examination rooms equipped with advanced technology
- Health Record System: Utilize Epic for patient documentation
- Specialized Tools: Access to telemedicine carts, negative pressure rooms, and continuous vital sign monitoring systems
- Diagnostic Capabilities: Conduct X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs
- Patient Admissions: Facilitate direct hospital admissions from the clinic when necessary
Our team offers a range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including but not limited to:
- Nebulizer treatments
- Intravenous diuresis and hydration
- Management of electrolyte imbalances
- IV antibiotic therapy for infections
- Antihistamine treatments for allergic reactions
- Rate control for atrial fibrillation
- Management of blood sugar levels
- Administration of antihypertensives
- Treatment for migraines
In this role, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a physician, assist in gathering necessary data for treatment planning, and advocate for patients within the healthcare system.
Educational Requirements:
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Required)
Experience and Qualifications:
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Certification, Certified Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of care management, clinical policies, health documentation, patient assessment, and safety protocols.
