Your Role as a Loan Officer Associate
The Loan Officer Associate position is crafted to support branch Loan Officers while preparing you for a future role as a Loan Officer. You will engage in a variety of educational sessions, both online and in-person, and receive hands-on training by assisting Loan Officers with the loan application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and prepare loan application documentation.
- Digitally manage documents within the Loan Operating System during and after the application process.
- Observe Loan Officers to grasp the pre-qualification process and the nuances of accurate loan applications.
- Update loan applications with any necessary information, such as lot numbers, addresses, and plan types.
- Communicate effectively with borrowers and processing teams as directed by Loan Officers or management.
- Assist in gathering loan documents from borrowers and other parties as required.
- Participate in ongoing training to prepare for a Loan Officer role through our comprehensive training programs.
- Complete necessary testing for mortgage licensing and state-specific requirements.
- Maintain detailed notes in the origination system to ensure seamless communication regarding loan applications and statuses.
- Occasionally initiate file setups, including ordering titles.
- Engage in community events and marketing initiatives to build and sustain relationships.
Qualifications:
- A four-year college degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated sales and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Physical Requirements:
