Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Technician to join our team at Akua Behavioral Health Inc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and staff members.

The Clinical Technician will be responsible for providing support to clients during their shift, conducting orientations, and coordinating transportation to daily activities. Additionally, the successful candidate will utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, monitor and document client self-administration medications, and maintain the integrity of the residences.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices, with a focus on providing individualized care to clients. A Bachelor's Degree in a health services field is preferred, or a High School Diploma with at least 1 year of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients during their shift, including conducting orientations and coordinating transportation to daily activities
  • Utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients
  • Monitor and document client self-administration medications
  • Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness and hygiene
  • Conduct observation rounds to ensure client safety and document client behavior and participation in treatment
  • Assist with intakes and discharges of clients according to Akua's policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Valid CA Driver's License
  • RADT Certification
  • Current Health Screen
  • TB Clearance
  • Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude
  • Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries
  • Impeccable ethics and integrity
