Position Overview: Horizon Farm Credit is currently on the lookout for a skilled Credit Analyst to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will be involved in providing critical financial insights and support within our organization. This role is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, analytical, and possess a strong background in agricultural or commercial credit analysis. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after a successful introductory period.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will act as a knowledgeable financial expert, delivering effective credit and financial services while adhering to established regulations and policies. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting thorough financial assessments, including historical trend analysis, pro-forma projections, and risk evaluations.
  • Drafting comprehensive loan narratives that summarize financial analyses, addressing the five C's of credit, and documenting both strengths and weaknesses.
  • Collaborating closely with Relationship Managers to finalize credit assessments.
  • Securing necessary approvals for loan decisions.
  • Staying informed about internal credit practices and compliance standards to ensure sound credit evaluations.
  • Managing the loan underwriting process efficiently to meet established turnaround times.
  • Assisting in the preparation of larger loan packages and monitoring compliance with loan covenants.
  • Engaging in ongoing education regarding agricultural industry trends.
  • Participating in cross-functional initiatives and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, or Finance.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in agricultural or commercial credit analysis and underwriting.
  • Strong credit judgment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in analytical tools and computer applications.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and on a computer.

Salary Range: $66,000 - $94,000, commensurate with experience.
