The Practice Management Department at Arnold & Porter is seeking a dedicated Practice Management Coordinator to join our team.

The PM Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering a blend of technical, analytical, and administrative assistance to the PM Team and the Chief Operating Officer.


Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the PM Team in supporting firm and practice group leadership with business planning, analytical tasks, report generation, meeting organization, and the execution of practice and firm initiatives.

Centralizing internal communications for the PM, which includes creating detailed agendas for internal team meetings and organizing PM-specific events. Overseeing the PM shared document workspace, which encompasses reporting, budget management, expense tracking, and various ad hoc projects. Aiding in the organization of practice group meetings and presentations. Providing regular support and data to the Business Development team. Identifying and coordinating training opportunities for the PM Team on both internal and external tools, processes, and technologies. Assisting with the adaptation and deployment of PM-specific tools, including online reporting and matter management applications. Collaborating with peer departments (such as Business Development, Talent Development, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, etc.) and acting as a liaison for PM.

Serving as the primary point of contact for the PM Team, which involves monitoring the team inbox and appropriately responding to and relaying requests.

Managing special projects as requested, both internally and in collaboration with peer departments. Performing a variety of administrative duties and providing general support as needed. Reviewing and analyzing data to identify issues and ensure report accuracy.

Supporting ad hoc projects related to practice group performance as requested by firm leadership and Practice Managers.


Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.

A minimum of two years of experience in a law firm, professional services, or corporate environment is preferred (experience in Practice Management, Business Development, Talent Development, Financial Services, or accounting is a plus).

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking and self-motivation.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, effectively engaging across administrative departments and practice areas.

Strong relationship-building skills to earn the trust of attorneys and administrative staff. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with individuals at all levels within the firm. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are crucial. Financial, analytical, and project management skills are necessary. Good judgment and decision-making abilities are required. The capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, a service-oriented mindset, and sensitivity to confidential information are important.
The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $56,480 to $65,000.

The actual base salary offered will be contingent upon various factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, relevant experience, educational background, certifications or professional licenses held, and, if applicable, the applicant's location.
