Job Overview

Position Summary

The Practice Intelligence Manager will collaborate closely with the Knowledge Resources Manager to oversee the Firm's experience management system, specifically the Litera Foundation Firm Intelligence Platform, acting as a key product owner. This role involves working alongside KM Lawyers and KM Specialists to create and configure tailored practice profiles, ensuring that they are consistent and compatible across the Foundation platform. The Practice Intelligence Manager will also be responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the data entered into the system and providing technical assistance to KM, Business Development, and other users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Foundation experience management system, which includes modules for experience and proposal generation.
  • Establish project management methodologies that cater to the implementation of the Practice Intelligence program throughout the Firm.
  • Act as the main contact for KM, Business Development, and other advanced users regarding any technical challenges related to the Foundation system.
  • Collaborate with KM Lawyers and Knowledge Specialists to document profile specifications and change requests, ensuring profiles are developed and maintained according to best practices.
  • Lead efforts to gather experience data, focusing on maintaining accuracy and relevance within the system, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on configuration options, workflows, processes, and fields within the system.
  • Design and implement testing strategies for configuration updates, including the creation of new profiles and modifications to existing fields and values, to uphold the integrity of the experience management system and its associated dashboards.
  • Ensure data quality by working with IT and Data Analytics to monitor and test data integrations, imports, and exports, facilitating seamless data flow into and out of the Foundation.
  • Track user adoption and develop reporting metrics; prepare progress updates on the Practice Intelligence program for Firm leadership.
  • Collaborate with KM Lawyers and the Knowledge Resources Manager to identify areas for improvement within the Foundation; gather requirements for enhancement proposals.
  • Assist in testing new releases and enhancements from the vendor, coordinating with technical resources as necessary to ensure the platform operates effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience with legal technology, particularly experience management systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of individuals, including executives and subject matter experts.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or professional services setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Litera's Foundation Firm Intelligence Platform is preferred.

Educational Background

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.

Compensation Information

The estimated base salary range for this position is between $135,000 and $155,000. The actual salary offered will depend on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, educational background, certifications, and location. This role is classified as exempt, meaning it is not eligible for overtime pay.
