Job Overview:
Raytheon Technologies is in search of a Senior GPS Subsystems Engineer to enhance our Guidance Electronics Team. In this role, you will be tasked with delivering innovative GPS electronic solutions for missile systems, which encompasses architecture formulation, requirement establishment, electronic design, analytical modeling, and rigorous testing. Your collaboration with missile-level system engineers will be crucial in defining requirements and performing analyses to break down specifications for GPS sub-assemblies and component designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze hardware designs, subsystems, and components
  • Design new electronic systems architecture
  • Develop and document subsystem specifications and testing protocols
  • Engage with suppliers of navigation and guidance electronic components
  • Provide mentorship and receive guidance within the team
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including customers and suppliers


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience
  • Proficiency in subsystems, systems engineering, and RF electrical subsystems
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
  • Understanding of navigation subsystems/components utilized in guidance electronics
  • Technical expertise in GPS and IMU navigation subsystems
  • Knowledge of M-Code and Matlab scripting
  • Experience in hardware integration, modeling, and simulation
  • Awareness of DOD Hardware development processes and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
