Position Overview

*This role accommodates a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence two days a week during standard business hours.

The Director of Prospect Development Reporting and Analytics embodies the core mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adhering to the organization's ethical standards and compliance protocols while aligning with all relevant policies and regulatory requirements.

This position is pivotal in shaping and executing the strategy for prospect reporting and data analytics within the NMF framework. The individual in this role is instrumental in enhancing NMF's understanding of its potential donors, thereby supporting the organization’s fundraising and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Prospect Development Reporting and Analytics team:
    1. Direct initiatives in data mining, predictive analytics, and forecasting that align with established organizational goals.
    2. Collaborate across departments to implement interdepartmental projects and foster a culture of data-informed decision-making.
    3. Conduct comparative studies and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of ongoing fundraising efforts.
    4. Identify and recommend enhancements to system processes, including automation opportunities.
    5. Facilitate training for current and new staff on the interpretation and utilization of reports and analytical models.
    6. Analyze donor giving patterns and demographic information to guide fundraising and operational strategies.
    7. Coordinate with the Analytics team to develop insightful reports and dashboards that promote data-driven decisions.
    8. Provide tailored data analysis support to various stakeholders as needed.
  2. Deliver exceptional customer service to colleagues, donors, and external partners.

Qualifications

Essential:

  1. Bachelor's degree;
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, community engagement, healthcare, or development roles, ideally within a non-profit setting;
  3. Proven ability to build trust with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and to navigate a professional corporate environment;
  4. Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities;
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  6. High levels of professionalism, sensitivity, and integrity;
  7. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative, and effective listening skills;
  8. Ability to meet deadlines, communicate clearly, and manage details efficiently;
  9. Exhibit strong leadership qualities and adaptability within a team context;
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred:

  1. Experience in healthcare fundraising;
  2. Prior experience in staff management, budget oversight, and operational leadership;
  3. Public speaking and presentation proficiency;
  4. Advanced degree;
  5. Familiarity with Raiser's Edge database.
