Job Description

Financial Reporting Manager

Buckingham Search is collaborating with a prominent global e-commerce organization in search of a Financial Reporting Manager to enhance their financial reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and the Senior Analyst to develop financial statements, footnote disclosures, GAAP disclosure checklists, and MD&A disclosures.
  • Engage with the investor relations team to ensure accuracy in financial data presented in earnings releases and investor presentations.
  • Oversee the preparation, distribution, collection, and analysis of information from international reporting packages.
  • Review quarterly cash flow statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare or review various technical accounting workstreams on an as-needed basis.
  • Research new FASB guidance and draft or review comprehensive white papers.
  • Conduct financial reporting research pertaining to U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance, as well as peer company disclosures.
  • Assist in the preparation of the external auditor's PBC items.
  • Collaborate with internal audit on financial reporting, SOX documentation, and testing procedures.
  • Mentor and develop one direct report.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years focused on SEC reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing precise work.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Workiva is preferred.
