Job Summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Director of Enterprise Asset Management to join its Strategic Initiatives Enterprise Asset Management team. This key role will play a critical part in driving the development and implementation of asset management strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies to improve the reliability, efficiency, and transparency of the MTA's physical assets.
  • Collaborate with operating agency leadership to identify, quantify, and deliver improved outcomes in maintenance and capital investment.
  • Develop and maintain the functional/business data dictionary for the respective functional teams.
  • Lead interagency communities of practice to develop MTA best practice and a more innovative, cost-effective, and MTA-wide asset management strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field.
  • Minimum six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in consulting, finance, administration, or a public transportation agency.
  • Strong managerial skills to effectively direct a staff of professional and technical employees in implementing the short- and long-term goals and direction for the area of responsibility.
  • Familiarity with the MTA's policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the MTA's collective bargaining procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Four (4) years managerial experience in a large corporate or government organization with responsibility for identifying, analyzing, and implementing new business practices and strategies among multiple functions across an organization.
