Position Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is a leading provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations. We are currently seeking an onsite Production Assembler Team Lead to be part of our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Production Assembler Team Lead, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts, and electrical systems to create subassemblies and complete units. Your role will involve:
  • Operating and maintaining assembly stations to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of components according to specifications.
  • Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and various assembly line equipment for unit assembly.
  • Testing and calibrating components to verify compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Repairing or adjusting units that do not meet established criteria.
  • Maintaining accurate daily production records.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Providing assistance in training new assemblers as needed.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Vocational or technical training degree.
  • 7-8 years of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain stationary at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
  • Regular movement throughout the facility is required.
  • Capability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Exposure to varying climates and the operation of machinery may be necessary.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours may be required.
  • This position is classified as Safety Sensitive.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Focus on quality improvement and promotion.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethics, and safety in the workplace.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and make independent judgments.
  • Familiarity with assembly, calibration, component installation, soldering, troubleshooting, and functional testing.
  • Capacity to understand and follow detailed instructions.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position varies based on location and other factors, with a range of $61,000 to $113,620. Eligible employees may participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.

Participation in the company's 401k plan and eligibility for a Non-Contributory Retirement Contribution are also available. PTO and Leave:
