Job Summary:

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and conveyor processing systems and supporting equipment.

Your role will involve performing preventative and predictive maintenance, conducting periodic testing, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. You will ensure all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively, supporting the daily achievement of production goals through the proper functioning of our machinery.



Essential Job Functions:
1.

Under general supervision, conduct repairs and perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery (including automation, mechanical, electrical, and conveyor systems) following manufacturer recommendations and company SOPs to ensure equipment operates safely and meets required specifications.

2.

Identify the root cause of basic mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs, which may include welding, fabricating parts, plumbing, or replacing defective components. Collaborate with relevant personnel and management for further assistance if needed.

3.

Diagnose and conduct scheduled maintenance on conveyor systems as required.

4.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on processing machines and supporting equipment.

5.

Assemble, install, test, and maintain basic electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.

6.

Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.

7.

Troubleshoot and repair or replace drive chains, gears, belts, pulleys, shafts, rollers, electric motors, and gearboxes.

8.

Maintain tools in good working condition, keeping them clean and organized.

9.

Work safely to protect yourself and colleagues.

10.

Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective actions. Collaborate with management to address safety concerns.

11.

When working in processing, adhere to all compliance, food safety, and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures, reporting any violations to a supervisor.

12.

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2. Additional trade or technical school education in maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical preferred.
3. Knowledge of electrical systems, electrical testing devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
4. Preferably 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance.
5. Experience in the food, poultry, or agriculture industry is a plus but not required.
6. Reading and comprehension skills necessary to understand and follow SOPs and other written instructions.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and management.
8. Strong work ethic, honesty, team-oriented, and moral character.
9. Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
10. Experience with safety equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, and PPE is a plus.
11. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required based on production demands.
12. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75+ lbs.
13.

Expect to walk, climb (ladders and stairs), stand, and sit for extended periods, and be able to work in tight spaces.
