Summary:
As a Lead Production Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, fabricated components, and electrical systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units using various tools and equipment.
Your role will involve fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting parts and mechanisms to meet specified tolerances and operational requirements, as well as repairing units that do not meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain assembly stations to align and adjust fabricated components according to specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment to construct units.
- Test and calibrate parts to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
- Repair or refit components that fail to meet testing requirements.
- Maintain daily production records and uphold a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in training new assemblers as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED, or a vocational/technical training degree.
- 7-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Physical Demands:
The role requires:
- Ability to remain stationary at a desk or computer for extended periods.
- Regular movement throughout the facility.
- Capability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Potential for standing for long durations.
- Willingness to work in varying climate conditions and operate machinery.
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- A commitment to quality improvement and safety.
- Integrity and ethical behavior in all actions.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
- Proficiency in assembly, calibration, component installation, soldering, troubleshooting, and functional testing.
- Physical stamina and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Compensation for this position will be determined based on location, skills, experience, and education. Additional compensation may be available through the company's Gain Sharing Program.
