Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is seeking a talented and passionate Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests during various events.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to develop and execute diverse menus that align with our resort's vision and culinary standards. Your expertise in various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment will be essential in crafting high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development & Innovation: Work alongside the Executive Chef to create enticing menus that cater to diverse events and dietary preferences. Explore new culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas to enhance our offerings.
  • Kitchen Management & Supervision: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to established procedures. Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Quality Control & Presentation: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and culinary excellence.
  • Event Coordination & Execution: Collaborate with event planners to understand client requirements and tailor menus accordingly. Manage kitchen staff during events, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Resource Management: Optimize inventory control, minimize waste, and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Banquet Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
