Role of Manufacturing Engineer
The primary focus of this role is to enhance departmental and organizational initiatives through ongoing process enhancements, boosting customer satisfaction, minimizing waste, maximizing efficiency, and reducing variability in manufacturing operations. Ideal candidates will possess the enthusiasm and commitment to refine both production and operational processes while upholding integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with operations, research, development & innovation, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to foster improvements. Support fabrication and assembly processes aimed at enhancing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Work in close partnership with production supervisors, team leaders, and production staff to conduct problem-solving and root cause investigations. Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing methodologies. Drive cost-saving measures and yield enhancements with delivery partners. Employ effective project management techniques for complex projects and key initiatives. Enhance equipment performance and dependability. Identify potential for error-proofing and execute solutions. Address daily production requirements such as equipment troubleshooting and quality issues. Oversee the design, acquisition, and implementation of capital equipment projects. Create operator balance charts, machine balance charts, and staffing guidelines for assembly workstations. Collaborate with ongoing product development teams to execute product design modifications and line extensions. Maintain a visible presence within the value stream to foster a safe environment for collaboration and engagement. Advocate for a hands-on, highly involved approach to problem resolution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology. Over 5 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in equipment procurement. Strong project management capabilities. Comprehensive understanding of Lean manufacturing principles. In-depth knowledge of quality systems, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and process capability. Positive demeanor with a commitment to building relationships and serving both internal and external clients. Strong, proactive communication skills, effective in both one-on-one and group settings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will exhibit high proficiency in robotics, design and simulation of manufacturing systems, and vision systems.

PROFIT SHARING:

Andersen has established a profit-sharing target for eligible employees, with payouts distributed quarterly based on operating profit performance.
