Key Responsibilities

Your Role Will Include:

  • Designing and planning significant aspects of control systems.
  • Collaborating with project teams to establish project scope, including defining system functionality, documentation requirements, graphical interfaces, and startup support.
  • Ensuring thorough testing and documentation of control systems.
  • Providing configuration, installation, and troubleshooting for HMI/PC/PLC hardware and software, as well as customer networks.
  • Conducting training for customer operators on the control system, both in-house and on-site.
  • Establishing programming standards and ensuring team adherence.
  • Mentoring and training fellow Interstates team members.
  • Performing technical design reviews, code evaluations, and assisting in project pricing estimations.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) in Computer Studies or a related Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.), or an Associate's degree (A.A., A.S.) from a technical institution with a focus on Computer Studies or Instrumentation and Controls is preferred.
  • Alternatively, a combination of education and relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Experience in programming within the Industrial Environment, implementing Industrial Control Software, and engaging with clients regarding system specifications.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming, user interface design, database management, and system integration.

Preferred Skills and Industry Knowledge

  • Experience in value-added sectors such as Ethanol, Seed Oil, and Petfood.
  • Knowledge of the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Understanding of Continuous Process environments.
