Arandell is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support the HR department in various administrative, compliance, and safety-related tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Document and maintain accurate records for Workers' Compensation, OSHA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Family Medical Leave, and disciplinary actions.
- Perform data entry, maintenance, and updates in the HRIS system for new hire information, employee data, work rule violations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for all HR processes.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, creating onboarding documents and providing communications regarding orientation and first-day instructions.
- Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring new hires understand company policies, procedures, and benefits, and verify I-9 documentation.
- Assist in addressing employee relations issues, attendance, work rule violations, and disciplinary actions.
- Participate in corporate continuous process improvement projects as needed.
- Support Marketing in organizing employee engagement events.
- Learn and cross-train the Human Resources Manager's responsibilities, including legal compliance, employee relations, training, and process implementation.
- Oversee the offboarding process for departing employees, including exit interviews, return of company property, and deactivation of access.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
- Experience in Human Resources or administrative support roles, preferably with exposure to recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Human Resources software and applicant tracking systems (ideally UKG and Clear Company).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
